Evie's First Day of Kindergarten
My little girl is so grown up! I know, I know...it doesn't seem like a kindergartener is that old, but my goodness! To think how little she used to be and how big she is now!
She is going to a Charter School this year, and so far I really like it. The first day was a little hectic given that they basically wanted me to throw her out of my moving car into a crowd of strangers, but we made it through. She is completely confident, which I am grateful for.
Anyway, let me gush over her cute pictures for a moment.
Awww...she looks so BIG!
With backpack on and ready to go! What a cutie!
Look at her tapping her finger, waiting patiently for the teacher to turn her way and tell her where to sit.
Oh...there's my silly mom at the door, snapping a million pictures. I better smile for her so she'll leave sometime soon.
Getting right to work, coloring a picture of a schoolhouse. :)
Last but not least, did you notice how Jacob was standing with Evie for the picture with a backpack on? No sooner did I tell Evie to put her backpack on than Jacob ran into the other room and pulled a mini Spiderman backpack out of a toy bin and ran it over to me:
Can you tell he's ready?
At the end of the day, Evie loved school, and her teacher today commented, "She's just SO outgoing! All the kids flock to her." Yea, that's Evie alright. A natural leader and a lot of fun. How did I ever get blessed with such awesome kids?? :*)
