I took the week off of grocery shopping for deals for the first time in quite a while. I just didn't have it in me! We went to one store, and I still did really good. There are a couple of good deals right now to be had online:

A free DVD for kids called Planet Heroes by Fisher Price. I ordered mine last week, and it just came today. This would be great for small boys.

Hot deals on video games at Deepdiscount.com. I bought an XBOX 360 Tom Clancy game for 2.99 and a Cars game for the Nintendo DS for 1.35! A lot of the games sold out right away, so I couldn't get anything else. Shipping is free! My BIL and my DD's friend will enjoy these 2 games. :)

I've joined this site - www.ipodsweepstakes.com - which lets you sign up for spam emails in order to get a free ipod. Not a bad deal all in all. It is legit, as many of the women on the board I frequent have earned free ipods this way. It's addicting. I'm half-way to earning an ipod shuffle, but if you do more offers, you can earn an ipod video, which is what I'm going to shoot for. You are also entered into a daily drawing multiple times (depending on how many offers you clicked) for a free ipod shuffle. A lot of people I've read have won one this way.

I can't believe how many spam emails I've gotten! But, they all automatically go in my junk folder and get deleted. So that's not a huge problem. I don't sign up for any offers that require a credit card number or a social security number. I give a phone number to a free voicemail account I signed up for at www.k7.net. So no annoying follow-up phone calls.

Little by little, I'll get there.
