Yikes

This video is done really well. Pretty bad three-step plan there Barack. I dunno about you, but this scares the crud out of me. You?

I've got more videos I need to put on here of the creepiness and bad policies he is proposing. I know a lot of people just like the 'freshness' he brings to the presidency. I don't blame you. He is a fantabulous speaker. He is inspirational. He seems super friendly and is probably a really nice guy. But his policies are absolutely socialist and Marxist. You have to look past the friendly face and sweet talk.

Haha...

Baby preacher?

What do you all think about this? Scary? Funny?

Of course, I think the baby is adorable and funny. He's obviously seen his worship service enough to imitate the pastor. But then I hear the people in the background and get a little creeped out. Maybe they're playing along? I don't know, but there's no way this is anything more than imitating. Right?

Too cute!

I wish I had time to do this! It is just precious! In case you have the time, here is the tutorial, via Craft Magazine. (PS - if you do have the time, I think you should make me a neighborhood too. It's only fair.)

Facebook Pillow Fight in GR

This is pretty funny! I didn't hear about this. I'm not really much of a Facebook kinda gal anyway. Nancy? Trina? Did you go? I'll have to search the video for either of you. ;)

It's kind of goofy. Everyone is impressed that something "important" could bring so many together without violence. Well...ehrm....yes...I s'pose.

Grand Rapids, MI (WZZM)-- More than a thousand pillow toting Facebook enthusiasts descended on Rosa Parks Circle in downtown Grand Rapids Sunday for what may be one of the largest pillow fights ever.

"It just started with me inviting about 100 people to the event on Facebook. It was originally just for a few friends and then it just exploded," said Rob Bliss who organized the event.

Participants squared off in teams based on the color of their shirts. And then the drama started to build.

The clocked ticked down as the theme song from The Good, The Bad and The Ugly western blared from speakers.

"Then at 2 o'clock I blew my horn and I almost died basically," said Bliss. That was when the sea of colors swarmed the middle of the circle, and people started smacking anyone in their path with pillows.

"It was just epic. There were so many people and everyone was attacking every one and half the time you were hitting your own team by accident because they were getting in the way," said Rick Waldmiller a member of the Black team. "I tried to bring the biggest firmest pillow I could find and work with all my Reds and it worked because I hit a Blue so hard his face paint came off," said Mary Brandt pointing to the blue stain on her pillow.

While on different teams today, Brand and Waldmiller are friends and came to the event together.

But it didn't take long for them form new alliances that reached beyond the goal of being crowned pillow fighting champs.

"It's ridiculous you look back 5 years, 10 years and no one could have even thought something like this was possible," said Brandt. "So many people came together for one thing in a community that we've never even met. I've become fast friends with people on this Red team that I have never even seen before today."

An enthusiastic Waldmiller agreed. "These guys here we met them walking on the way here and talked to them the entire time," he said pointing to two college aged men wearing red
shirts. "And half way through the battle I ran into him and he was like 'hey' and we smacked each other in the face and kept going. Now we're going to find each other on Facebook and keep talking."

If nothing else this pillow fight battle proved how powerful Facebook and other social websites can be at unifying people under a coming cause.

Okay, okay...

I'll write something.

Let's see...what shall I write about...

I put up a bird mobile on Etsy. What do you think? I really like it, but I don't know if I'd pay for it, know what I mean? LOL Is that a horrible way to approach this or what? You know what though, I probably would at a craft show, but not online.

Speaking of craft shows. I have 1 month to prepare all sorts of things for the craft show I'll be doing on November 1st. Thank goodness I'll have a couple of friends who will also put their stuff on my table just in case I can't make enough. I'm curious to see if anyone else thinks the stuff I make is cool. :)

I'm still reading "Love to Eat, Hate to Eat." I've made it into the "meat" of the book now, where she's talking about how to fix this sinfulness in my life. I'm finding it very interesting, helpful, and like it will really work. Her first step was to admit that the way I eat is sinful. No, it's not sinful per say for me to eat a cookie, 3 cookies, or a whole package of cookies, but if I know I shouldn't be doing that and I do it anyway, that's when the sinful part comes in.

The second step (where I am now) helps you to establish Godly eating habits. She suggest that you ask yourself the following questions before you eat:

Doubt: Do I doubt (for whatever reason) that I can eat this food without sinning?
Idolatry: Will eating this food demonstrate a heart of idolatry (pleasure/power)?
Stumble: If I eat this food, will it cause some weaker Christian to stumble?
Covet: Am I eating this food because I saw someone else with it and I am coveting?
Inroad: If I eat this food, will it create an inroad for sin in my life?
Praise: Can I eat this food with thanks and gratitude?
Life: Would eating this food harm my life or health in any way?
Illustrate: Am I modeling good eating habits for others?
No: Am I able to say no to this food, even if I know that I can eat it without sinning?
Emotions: Does the desire to eat this food flow out of any sinful emotion?
Distract: Will preparing or eating this food distract me from something more profitable?
Enslaved: Will eating this food bring me under any kind of bondage?

This spells out an acrostic: D-I-S-C-I-P-L-I-N-E-D Eating. She of course goes more in depth and even matches each question up with a Bible verse that shows why this should be a focus. She says that a healthy diet (such as Weight Watchers, ADA or AHA diet) is fine to do as long as that doesn't become your new focus, which for me, it totally would. So I am not going to do that. Yes, I'd be eating healthy stuff and losing weight, but I'd be eating too much healthy stuff because I could "get away with it." I would also reward myself for a job well done too often.

A lot of people don't understand what the heck I'm talking about when I say I'm just trying to eat right. I don't always divulge that I'm "giving my eating to God" because for many that would sound quite loony. :P Oh well. Yep, at times I'm going to fail and sin, and I might not lose a ton of weight right away, but MAN I would really like to lick this and be done with it. You know? I just want to master this so that I can be pleasing to the Lord...not reveling in my sin. Blech. Anyone know what I mean?

On a much lighter note. This is funny.

Oh AND!!! My little brother got engaged today!!!! Yay!!!! I'm so excited about it! His fiance is just lovely and sweet. I can't wait to (hopefully) develop a closer relationship with her. I hope this means I'll be an aunt relatively soon!!! Woohoo!!
